According to Netflix, a cheaper subscription plan is in the works, but that’s not all good news. By the end of 2022, Netflix might start displaying ads on its platform. As part of its plan to make the platform more affordable for consumers, Netflix is adding an ad-supported tier.
Microsoft was selected from a list of global advertising technology and sales partners on July 13, 2022, helping the streaming platform move closer to launching its ad-supported tier. Although Netflix has a lot to do, its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer, Greg Peters, wrote in the company’s announcement that “it’s very early.”
